My name is Oghenechovwe Donald Ekpeki, and I am a disabled, African speculative fiction writer from Nigeria. I won the Nommo award for best short story by an African and was just shortlisted for the British Science Fiction Association award 2020. I was also just awarded the Horror Writers Association, diversity grant. I co-edited the groundbreaking Dominion Anthology and my fiction and non-fiction has appeared in Omenana magazine, Cosmic Roots and Eldritch Shores, Tordotcom, Strange Horizons and Uncanny Magazine. I am co-editor of several forthcoming publications, and have works of fiction and non-fiction forthcoming in several others.


I am a member of the African Speculative Fiction Society, SFWA, HWA, BSFA, BFA and Codex Writers.
